I tried a method of mixing water & baking soda to clean out my drip coffee maker…
Well it’s clean! :)
But it’s also clogged with baking soda! :(
How do I unclog it?

There are several factors that dictate my preference: perked coffee is stronger, and its flavor is fuller than drip coffee. Also, if you have the right kind of coffee perker, you can watch the infusion happening right before your eyes, a aesthetic sensibility but nonetheless one of the joys of perking coffee. I’m just wondering what reasons you might have for preferring one method of preparation to another. (If you like it from a coffee press or by a method I don’t know, feel free to speak up and tell me why you like it!)
I should have clarified that, all else being equal, including type/brand/flavor of coffee, which method is more to your taste. I was taking it for granted that there are different preferences in type of coffee but was only interested in the method preference, apart from other factors.

My boyfriend cooked dinner last night. He used the electric skillet, and used green peppers. He happened to be working by the coffee maker… and then this morning when he went to make coffee, the coffee tasted like green peppers. We tried running vinegar through the pot, but that didn’t work either?

Every time i brew a pot of coffee, the smell it gives off is horrible! The odor itself is coming from the steam. After it’s done brewing, the coffee tastes fine and the pot doesn’t seem to smell. How do i clean a coffee maker to possibly rid of this smell?

I just bought a 4-cup coffee maker to replace my broken Krups. The directions mentioned that, before making the first cup of coffee, I should run water through the system first. I did this, but even after a month of using the coffee maker every day, the coffee tastes like plastic. I’ve been using the same filters, water, and coffee as I did in my old machine, so it has to be the new coffee maker. How do I get the plastic taste out of my coffee?
